Trepat is sometimes described as Catalonia’s Pinot Noir. It is an easy drinking cava with a persistent taste that gives the impression of drinking a pleasant infusion of spices, berries and aromatic herbs.Trepat is a grape of very fine skin that produces wines of medium to light colour but with an appealing nose and palate. It offers clear and distinct aromas of spices like pepper, clove, bay leaf and cinnamon, Mediterranean herbs such as thyme and rosemary and red berries like raspberries and cranberries.
Winemaking: Gentle harvesting and pressing with first fermentation at controlled temperature below 16ºC. Secondary fermentation in bottle and ageing period of minimum 15 months.
