Viña Magna Reserva 2014 Ribera del Duero

00250214

With Viña Magna Reserva we are able to offer a representative of Spain's highest quality red wines: red Tempranillo from very old vines located in one of Spain's most prestigious winemaking regions like Ribera del Duero.

Winemaking: Grapes from the winery’s oldest vineyards (+80 years old). Harvest by hand in 12-kg crates, sorted on arrival. Moved along the process by gravity for maximum organoleptic quality of the wine. Spontaneous alcoholic fermentation with indigenous yeasts under controlled temperature. Malolactic fermentation in new French oak barrels. Bottled in May 2016.

Vintage: exceptionally cold and rainy winter followed by a dry spring. High temperatures after the sprouting and warm weather during August accelerated the vegetative cycle and forced an early harvest. Plenty of sunshine and good temperature variation within the last weeks helped to reach an optimum grape ripening that resulted in a wine of intense colour, high aromatic intensity, complex and well balanced.
