A fruit and spice feast. Among the myriad of existing syrahs, what caught our attention on this occasion was the elegant, lush, velvety result obtained from the taming of a pure breed like the Mediterranean syrah by adding a small amount of tempranillo and cabernet sauvignon plus doing the maturing process in bigger oak deposits as opposed to ordinary barrels, thus avoiding an over woody palate. No wonder this wine has made it to the final stages at international competitions.
