A super expressive, easy drinking version of tempranillo, the queen variety in Rioja and many parts of Spain. Lots of interesting tones, without the more traditional oak ageing tinges. Carbonic maceration is winemaking jargon for whole grape cluster pre-fermentation in an airless atmosphere to emphasise fruit aromas.
