Puente del Ea Viura Barrica Rioja

Puente del Ea Viura Barrica is produced with ripe fruit fermented in oak and then left for some time on its lees (yeast) for more body and complexity of aromas. Ripe fruit contributes with notes of citrus, apple and peach. Fermentation in oak and development with its own lees adds notes of toast and butter brioche.

Viura, also known in other parts of Spain as Macabeo, is the second mostly produced white variety in the country. It covers 5 percent of Spains nearly 1 Million hectares of vineyards. It is the dominant grape in Rioja's whites.
