This international grape variety resurrects in Rueda, Valladolid (Castile) with a fragrant personality provided by the local soil and extreme continental climate. Cold winters, hot summers and plenty of sunlight contribute to accentuate the variety’s characteristic aromas of stone fruit like apricot and tropical fruit like mango. Bodega Pago de Traslagares is ideally located on top of a hill, right in the middle of their own vineyards. This position allows fruit freshly harvested overnight to enter the winemaking process almost instantly, at the minimum temperature possible, avoiding unwanted, heat-triggered oxidation during transit. This is key to guarantee fruit aromas are retained in the resulting white wine.

Like being back in Spain
This wine makes you feel as if you were sitting in a terrace, in a plaza mayor somewhere in Castilla. Best with sharp green olives, but great with everything
