Vinessens Salino Malvasía Alicante

00200116

The name Salino refers to the mineral salts present in the soil where the vines grow, which is a determining factor in the remarkably mineral style of this otherwise fruity, floral wine. Salino is winemakers Andres and Marta’s personal project to bring back to their area one of the oldest local varieties that was at risk of total extinction: Malvasia.

White flowers & grapefruit

This was a great lesson in not judging a book by its cover. Truth be told I wasn’t expecting much from this label design, but actually the white flowers and grapefruit were the sorts of notes I love in whites these days.
